that they will conceive children.
A piece of the wedding cake is kept by the bride to make sure that her
husband remains loyal to their marriage.
When the first daughter in a family got married, a piece of the wedding
cake would be kept until all the daughters got married.
If the chief bridesmaid was hoping to get married soon, she would keep
a piece of the wedding cake in her pocket for the entire duration of the
married couple's honeymoon.
Unmarried ladies who attended the wedding would take a piece of the wedding
cake home and sleep with the cake placed underneath their pillows, hoping
to dream of the man they would marry.

If it is one that she found, she'll be twice as lucky. If it has a leap
year date on it, she'll be four times as lucky. If it has their or her
fiance's birth date on it, she will have everything her heart desires
in love, luck & wealth.
It is lucky to have something red - flowers or decorations - at your
wedding
